TESTAMENT FROM HANG TUAH
This is my best friend, the way I got here. Yeah just got here. My guess is that it will not be long, the charge of adultery is just an excuse. Punishment will be established. I was tricked into curling in a dark jail waiting to die.
Humans will be tested, this limitation is also tried to restrain unbearable doom. At this moment I missed running in the rice fields, chanting merrily awaiting Maghrib prayer. I am without tears, O my friend, vile accusations will not make me cry. Nothing is more beautiful than death for the sake of a belief.
The Palace of Malacca, Sultan Muzafar Syah has said. I am nothing but a worthless dog of mange in the eyes of those who rule the country. The land of Malay feels narrow for the ruler when I am alive, although I promise faithfully will not be for friends. I am condemned as a punishment.
Toward death, I remember how the five of us managed to defeat the bandits. The glorious times that brought our footsteps entered the palace of Malacca. It reminds us of the time we engaged in the resort of good will to Java with all the commanders and magnates of Malays to apply for the princess of Majapahit to our master, to be the wife the mighty Sultan of Malacca. The good times when it’s been missed are slicing.
My dearest friend, Hang Jebat. You are the one I trust the most, more than any other. Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir, and Hang Lekiu. Together with this letter I give you keris Taming Sari, Save and keep with you the heirloom of King Majapahit, Prabu Brawijaya. As a sign of the friendship of two nations, Majapahit and Malacca. Use for the glory of the archipelago.
When my time comes, let all the hates disappear. Of all my friends, you are the most sensitive, you are the most faithful. Let this slander be judged upon life after death. You need no more search for this vile slander.
Miss you
Hang Tuah
Historical note:
Hang Tuah is a legendary hero of the Malay people during the reign of Sultan Malacca in the 15th century (The kingdom of Malacca originated in 1400-1511 AD). Accused of adultery with the servant of the King, and in a quick decision, the King executed the innocent Admiral. However, the death penalty was never issued, because Hang Tuah was sent to a distant place to hide by the Prime Minister.
Knowing that Hang Tuah is going to die, Hang Tuah’s comrade Hang Jebat furiously takes revenge against the king, causing all the people there to be in turmoil. The king regretted executing Hang Tuah, as he was the only one who could be counted on to kill Hang Jebat. Suddenly, the Prime Minister summoned Hang Tuah rather than his hideout and was freed in full rather than his sentence by the king. After seven days of fighting, Hang Tuah retook his Taming Saris keris from Hang Jebat, and kills him in his fight. After his comrade fell, Hang Tuah disappeared and was never seen again.
