THE PRICE OF FREEDOM
I write this book in preparation for my death, shaheed – a witness to an idea that had earlier been made sacred by the spilled blood of my ancestors and recently by the spilled blood of my loyal followers. Continue reading

The “Peucut” cemetery, the name of a place where Dutch soldiers were buried in Banda Aceh, became one of the most useful research materials in studying the state of Aceh during the Dutch colonial period through the records written on the tombs. Continue reading

EXPLOITATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES, WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR ACEH
Aceh is a blind alley in Indonesia, the position of the West end puts Aceh if it wants to sell something to Jakarta to get the least profit, and when buy get the highest cost price. The solution is to open global access, empower the port of Sabang. Unfortunately, there has never been a serious attempt at it, either forgot or turned a blind eye. Continue reading

WHEN CRITICISM IS FORBIDDEN
WHEN CRITICISM IS FORBIDDEN. We grow as human beings with all the problems in life, because there are many future possibilities that must be lived after college, and it is difficult to solve if unable to think critically. Humans are not machines that can only accept instructions alone. And if you think critically is forbidden is a truth then you have ceased to be a human being. Continue reading

THE UNTOLD STORY ABOUT HISTORY OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF INDONESIA IN ACEH PROVINCE
Currently, the existence of the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI) in Aceh is no longer known by the people. Even if someone hears the story is only from living witnesses who mostly choose silence and do not want to tell stories. Apparently, in Aceh, there is a book written by Thaib Adamy who was then served as First Deputy Secretary in Committee PKI Aceh in the era of 1960s. Continue reading
HOPE FOR PEACE
HOPE FOR PEACE. A Poem was written when the Aceh conflict is at its peak. In every war that suffers most, the most miserable are weak and helpless. Continue reading
TAX AND CIVILIZATION
Tax is the cost of civilization. We get out of a museum, walk while whistling safely, and know that there’s not much in the world for free, and it’s getting more and more expensive. Continue reading

THE ORIGIN OF THE COFFEE CULTURE IN ACEH
THE ORIGIN OF THE COFFEE CULTURE IN ACEH. Coffee culture was not found in Aceh until near the end of the 19th Century. An orientalist who became a sociocultural researcher, Snouck Hurgronye wrote in The Achehnese Volume I, during his research of the Acehnese, “For most ordinary people in Aceh, white water is almost the only drink, from time to time (occasionally) it will drink sugar cane juice, squeezed from the trunk only with a very primitive tool.” Continue reading

HOW TO TELL HISTORY
Memory is never one and stable, memory is easily lost by the sweep of colors that come later. Like a painting, when it appears before us, it is actually in the process of changing. The painting itself may not be visible anymore, crumpled, damp, or even mossy. Continue reading
